Extended Pharmacy Services

Under the Extended Pharmacy Services Scheme we are now able to offer funded consultations and treatments by one of our highly qualified pharmacists for:

• Oral rehydration-under 14 years

• Bacterial conjunctivitis-under 14 years

• Scabies-under 14 years and their families

• Head lice-under 14 years and their families

• Acute analgesia-under 14 years

• Emergency contraception-under 25 years

• Acute uncomplicated UTI-women 16-65 years

The cost for these consultations is $5.00 for a Community Services Card holder, and $20.00 if you don’t hold a card.

There is no charge for the Emergency Contraception service if you are under 25 years old.

There is only one charge per family for the Head Lice and Scabies services.

The cost for the prescription is the same as if it was written by your GP.
