Sanders Pharmacy in Te Awamutu is looking for a motivated, dedicated Pharmacist to join our dynamic fun-loving team in our award-winning progressive pharmacy.
Our pharmacy is located next to a busy extended hours medical centre with whom we work very closely - with MedTech access in the pharmacy, joint trainings and lots of interaction. We have an extensive retail / OTC / natural health area and serve a wide range of patients with prescriptions, services, health advice and medical queries. In addition to offering COVID, Flu, Boostrix & Shingrix Vaccinations, we are the main Waipa dispensing site for Paxlovid. We offer the full suite of Pharmacist services such as ECP, Trimethoprim, OC’s, Sildenafil, as well as Waikato specific projects like anti-coagulant, gout and asthma counselling. We love technology and have an EV-54 Vial filling robot, ReCare and Alpaca blister packing robots which free us up to spend more time with patients.
At Sanders, we have a collaborative team who all like to learn from each other - our 7 passionate pharmacists are involved with research projects, PSNZ, Council, Prescription Access Initiative, and Ngā Kaitiaki o te Puna Rongoā. We work very closely with the clinical pharmacists at our medical centres, and have two fully trained PACT technicians. We have a Qualified PreKure Health Coach on staff, and are active in promoting a holistic approach to health and chronic disease management and prevention.
You will be will be passionate about pharmacy, a team player, have a heart for our patients, a focus on quality service, and have a high level of attention to detail. An interest in natural health/nutrition medicine is helpful, and a desire to support our local GP's and healthcare providers is essential. You will have exceptional support from your team, including a total of 7 Pharmacists, 8 technicians, 4 retail staff and an intern. New graduates are welcome and full training will be provided. Key details:
Hours: Tell us what you are after - we are open to anything from 15-40 hours per week, including rostered weekends.
Location: Te Awamutu is a busy rural town 25 mins from Hamilton, 15 minutes from Cambridge, and 2 hours from Auckland.
Remuneration: Competitive remuneration package includes Council & PDA fees and annual education allowance.
Start date: Flexible start date from October 2023 to Jan 2024. Pre-reg pharmacists are welcome to apply.
